Our Lunch and Learn session today was dedicated to Women of the Wall.
For the past year and a half a group of 35-40 women have been gathering twice a month to learn (we call it the Women’s Study Group).
The attached pictures were taken at our Women’s Chanukah celebration at University Synagogue, Los Angeles, CA, Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Seventy women were present at this Women of Reform Judaism event.

The Adult Bat Mitzvah class of North Shore Congregation Israel (Glencoe, IL), with their teachers Rabbis Lisa Greene and Wendi Geffen, dedicated their class to learning about Women at the Wall, its history, purpose and current realities
This past Monday evening – December 14/28 Kislev – we dedicated our meeting to Women of the Wall.

The Sisterhood of Temple Sholom, Women of Reform Judaism, Vancouver, BC dedicated their study session on Rosh Chodesh Tevet to the Women of the Wall and especially to Nofrat Frenkel.
Twelve Jewish women in Charlotte, NC, joined women in the Carolinas and across the United States in a day of Solidarity and Support of Nofrat Frenkel, who was arrested at the Western Wall in Jerusalem for wearing a tallit (prayer shawl).
