January 25th is also the birthday of Virginia Woolf who cared so passionately about peace and felt that as a woman her loyalty was to the world rather than a nation. I feel it is significant that today is also the first anniversary of the revolution that began last year in Tahir Square. When we consider that this historically unique revolution brought down the modern day Pharaoh, Mubarak, on the 7th of Adar, the day Moses was born and died, I think it is fair to say that this circling of time and space points to a cosmic shift in governance beyond nations states and today’s perceived battle of democracy vs. theocracy.|
Our Torah points to this evolution of human consciousness and possibilities, and Women Of the Wall is of course an integral aspect of feminine rising within the Jewish world. Sisterhood is today planetary, so the inner light that has kept you going in the face of persons who prefer old worlds, brings inspiration and hope to women across the planet.
