The attached pictures were taken at our Women’s Chanukah celebration at University Synagogue, Los Angeles, CA, Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Seventy women were present at this Women of Reform Judaism event.
The program consisted of a presentation about the role of women in the Chanukah story, the lighting of the Chanukiah, a collection of food to distribute to the homeless, a collection of new toys to be distributed by the Jewish Family Service, a presentation telling the story of Nofrat Frenkel and showing the film, “The Gefilte Fish Chronicles.
Women are stronger together.
