Dear Supporters of Women Of the Wall,
On July 12, 2010, I was arrested for carrying a sefer Torah from the women’s section of the Kotel as 200 of us celebrated Rosh Chodesh Av. The Jerusalem Police has recommended that the Ministry of Justice press charges against me for the felony of “gravely obstructing a police officer in the performance of his duties.” If I am charged, my sentence could be up to 3 years in prison. Women Of the Wall has pursued this struggle for over 21 years, and we will continue to exercise our right at the Kotel despite opposition from those who control conduct there. Every effort you make on behalf of Women Of the Wall is appreciated. In addition to everything else you do to help us, please contribute to our effort to raise $10,000 to keep up the fight for our rights. Thank you for being such an important part of our organization!
