Our Tallit has been in high demand especially since Anat Hoffman’s arrest in July 2010. In numerous overseas communities, women and men have worn their Tallits in solidarity with Women Of the Wall in their synagogues and social action rallies. In Israel, since the release of the film, “Praying in Her Own Voice”, non-religious women have also chosen to wear the Tallit as a statement of their support for Women Of the Wall.
Tallit Description: The corners of the Tallit are embroidered with the names and graphic representations of the four matriarchs: Sarah, Rebecca, Leah and Rachel. With this Tallit, Emanuel aimed to create a uniquely feminine prayer garment which would recall these women and their spiritual significance. The Tallit is woven from cotton and silk, and manufactured in full color, silver or gold. Each Tallit comes with a Tallit bag and a matching woven kippah. Yair Emanuel generously agreed to sell the Women Of the Wall Tallit at cost in order for the group to raise funds through its sale.
The dimensions of the tallit are 21” x 77” and they come in one size.
